Thank you and farewell to our Chair of Trustees

We want to share our heartfelt thanks to our Chair of Trustees Jen Lowthrop as she steps away to pursue new adventures.

As our very first Chair, Jen has been an integral part of the charity, leading and championing the Foundation in our formative years.

“It has been an absolute privilege to lead the Peak District Foundation through its first 7.5 years,” Jen says. “Together we have achieved incredible things for our National Park and I am certain the Foundation will continue to grow and do much more important work in the Park to improve habitats, invest in nature recovery and carbon storage, and ensure more people can enjoy the benefits of our national park through our access work.

“Deciding to step down wasn’t easy as the Foundation has been a huge part of my life. As I embark on my own land management project and continue caring for our natural environment and National Parks, I will always support the work of this vital charity. I wish the Foundation well and end with a huge thank you to our incredible trustee and staff team. Exciting things ahead!”

Board member Andy Robinson will be stepping up as Interim Chair as we recruit for a new Chair of Trustees for the Foundation.
