Landscapes Unlocked – Consultant Sought for Exhibition Design and Production

We are seeking a consultant to design and produce an exhibition of images for the Landscapes Unlocked project.

Landscapes Unlocked is a partnership project between the Peak District Foundation, Derbyshire Record Office and Peak District National Park Authority.  It will secure and catalogue the National Park’s unique and extraordinary collection of over 44,000 images documenting the places, people and landscapes of the Peak District.  The project is particularly timely as 2026 marks the 75th anniversary of the Peak District’s designation as the UK’s first national park.

The project is funded by a grant from the Archives Revealed programme, a funding partnership of The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Pilgrim Trust, the Wolfson Foundation and The National Archives.  We are extremely grateful for their support.

Budget:
£2,000 for professional fees
£2,000 for exhibition production costs
£500 for loupes, slide viewer, light boxes and material costs (handling collection)

Please note: there is a possibility of additional funding for this work and we are asking for proposals to include details of the enhancements which may be possible with further funds.

Timescale: project liaison should commence in late January 2026 and the deadline for the exhibition to be produced is 1st July 2026.

Deadline for submission of quotations is 11th January at 23:59.  For further details including how to apply, please read the full brief here
