Co-op Local Community Fund

Peak District National Park Foundation is delighted to have been selected as one of the local good causes in the Co-op Local Community Fund.

This year the Co-op store at Baslow is helping the Foundation to raise funds to support the Peak District Ambassador Schools programme.

Every year the Co-op Local Community Fund gives 1% of the total spend of its members in store to local good causes. To help our cause get the maximum support possible we are asking for our supporters to join as a co-op member and choose us as their cause using our unique cause ID – 64696.

The money raised will give local schools the equipment and support they need to connect children to nature. We all know how important it is to get outdoors, and how important it is for us to support the next generation of nature lovers.

With the support of the Co-op Local Community Fund we will link schools to National Park Rangers, give them Outdoor Experience Kit Boxes that are packed full of cool kit to inspire the kids such as mini microscopes, pond dipping equipment, bug boxes, identification charts and much more. This project will also help those kids who have barriers to connecting to nature by providing the schools with packs of waterproof clothing and boots from our friends at The Outdoor Guide.

By shopping at the Co-op this year, and choosing us as your cause, you will help to connect children in and around the Peak District National Park with nature, to discover the joy of the outdoors.
