Alex is an experienced communications, marketing and external relations professional. A journalist by training, he has held roles with the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, Greater Manchester Police, The University of Manchester and currently works at Manchester Metropolitan University, where he is Head of Faculty Marketing for Business and Law.

A keen road cyclist, off road runner and mountaineer, he lives in Stockport, and can often be found outdoors in the National Park, walking, cycling, running or eating, with his friends and family.
