Mount Cook Adventure Centre

Mount Cook is an independent, not-for-profit adventure Centre that provides outdoor experiences, especially for young people and those who might not normally have the opportunity. Opening in 2016, Mount Cook has helped nearly 50,000 people create outdoor memories through school trips, adult personal development programmes, charity retreats, and fun activity days.

With accommodation for up to 180 people, meeting spaces, 9 acres of outdoor space and a variety of adventurous activities like high ropes, bush craft, archery, and orienteering, we can provide an venue for all your outdoor needs. We particularly value our work with young people who must overcome barriers to access the outdoors, and the benefits this access provides for them, such as increased wellbeing and attainment.

Based on the edge of the peaks, Mount Cook strives to teach everyone who visits us to respect the natural world and engage with the Derbyshire countryside around us. Our bespoke, environmentally friendly centre makes our green ethos into reality with solar powered lighting and heating, electric car charging, and air source heat pumps.
